Marketplace rules

Acceptable Use & Data Conduct

These rules protect homeowners, legitimate contractors, and the integrity of the ADUBuilderConnect marketplace.

Never permitted

  • Selling, renting, syndicating, publishing, scraping, or redistributing homeowner leads.
  • Using lead data for unrelated products, mass marketing, identity enrichment, credit offers, political outreach, or unrelated advertising.
  • Ignoring STOP, unsubscribe, do-not-call, or other revocation requests.
  • Harassment, threats, discriminatory treatment, deceptive urgency, impersonation, or false government affiliation.
  • Credential sharing, unauthorized employee access, automated scraping, probing, reverse engineering, or circumvention of rate limits or authentication.
  • Fake licenses, fake insurance, fake reviews, fabricated project photos, fake pricing, or misrepresentation of subcontractor relationships.
  • Uploading malware or using the Service to violate privacy, consumer protection, telemarketing, construction, licensing, or intellectual-property law.

Required behavior

Use the minimum homeowner data needed, secure it, communicate only about the requested project, keep credentials current, document opt-outs, and promptly report security incidents or material complaints.

Enforcement

Violations may result in lead-access restrictions, billing holds, credential re-verification, suspension, termination, legal action, or referral to appropriate authorities where warranted.
