This Policy describes personal information handled through ADUBuilderConnect, including contractor applications, authenticated partner accounts, marketplace transactions, support requests, and limited homeowner data made available through authorized lead access.
1. Information we collect
- Business and professional information such as business name, contact person, email, phone, address, website, license/registration details, insurance status, service areas, specialties, and credential-review records.
- Account and authentication identifiers from our authentication provider.
- Marketplace settings, ZIP coverage, notification preferences, capacity, lead offers, purchases, subscriptions, and billing identifiers.
- Security and device data such as request metadata, IP-derived identifiers, logs, fraud signals, and access events.
- Homeowner information accessed by authorized contractors after a permitted lead unlock.
2. Purposes
We use information to review applications, authenticate partners, verify credentials, match leads, manage billing and subscriptions, operate alerts, protect homeowner data, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, support users, maintain audit records, improve the marketplace, and comply with law.
3. Homeowner data
Homeowner data is provided to Partner only for the purchased project opportunity and is subject to strict purpose limitations in the Contractor Marketplace Agreement. Partner becomes independently responsible for its own downstream processing, communications, retention, and legal obligations once it receives the data.
4. Service providers
We may use cloud hosting, database, authentication, payment, email, SMS, analytics, monitoring, credential verification, and support providers. Payment-card details entered into Stripe-hosted Checkout are processed by Stripe; our application is designed not to store full card numbers.
5. Retention
We retain contractor account, credential, transaction, lead-access, and compliance records for periods reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, satisfy accounting and legal duties, and defend claims. Retention can vary by record type and jurisdiction.
6. Security
Production architecture is designed around server-side privileged access, authentication, restricted lead contact disclosure, encrypted transport, secret isolation, webhook verification, and audit records. No security program guarantees zero risk. See our Security page.
7. Privacy rights
Depending on applicable law and your relationship to the business, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain disclosures. Business-to-business information may be treated differently in some jurisdictions. Contact privacy@adubuilderconnect.com.
8. California and other U.S. state rights
Where comprehensive state privacy laws apply, we will provide required rights and disclosures. We will not retaliate against users for exercising protected privacy rights. Marketplace data disclosed at a user’s direction to provide a requested service may be treated differently from disclosures for advertising or unrelated consideration, depending on law and facts.
9. Children
The contractor marketplace is intended for adults acting in a business or professional capacity and is not directed to children.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as vendors, features, or legal requirements change. Questions may be sent to privacy@adubuilderconnect.com.
